About The Position

Eyecare Medical Group is looking for a compassionate and skilled cataract and glaucoma surgeon with excellent surgical and clinical skills to join our multi-subspecialty practice in Portland, Maine. This is a rare opportunity for a surgeon who wants immediate, meaningful surgical volume and the chance to build a glaucoma surgical practice. The position is opening due to the planned retirement of a tenured physician. The successful candidate would be stepping into a practice with an established and robust referral network, along with a trained technician team and state-of-the art equipment. Extensive patient base will promptly allow for a busy clinical and surgical practice. Searching for a post-fellowship candidate with 3 or more years of successful surgical practice. We have a competitive base salary along with a production bonus. We are a highly efficient practice, and it is our aim to maintain your work-life balance. Our offer includes: · Base salary, commensurate with experience, plus incentive productivity pay · Relocation Reimbursement · Generous Health Insurance, Benefits and CME package paid in full by EMG · 6 weeks of Paid Time Off and 11 Paid Holidays · Excellent Hours, we aim to protect your free time, MDs are typically working: Clinic: Monday – Thursday, 8 AM Start - 4 PM finish and Friday 8AM - Noon Surgery: 7:30 AM Start – 4:30 PM finish, no Friday surgery Operate in our ASC, adjacent to the Clinic. Build up to more than 1,500 Surgeries per year; with potential for OD post-op clinic No hospital call We have a dedicated imaging and clinical diagnostics team with over 80 years of combined experience in ophthalmic clinical diagnostics, equipped with an array of instruments including anterior and posterior ultrasound, Pentacam, IOL Master 700, Clarus widefield camera and Zeiss Veracity surgical planner software.
