About The Position

As a Cataloguer for Comics & Comic Art at Heritage Auctions, you will play a vital role in cataloging rare and valuable comic book consignments. This entry-level position offers an exciting opportunity to engage with collectors and bidders while preserving the legacy of comic book art and memorabilia. You will be responsible for writing detailed descriptions, answering inquiries, and assisting in various department functions, contributing to the vibrant world of comic books and collectibles.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working with comic books, comic book art, or related memorabilia, or comparable expertise.
• Excellent writing and communication skills.
• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Familiarity with the history of comics, comic book artists, titles, publishers, and collecting terminology.
• Ability to multitask and manage time efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Catalog consignments of comic books, original comic book art, and related memorabilia.
• Write descriptions for online and catalog display based on consignor notes and personal expertise.
• Answer inquiries via telephone, email, and in-person.
• Assist at department functions, including auctions, exhibits, and shows.
