This position coordinates the daily workflow of the Collections and Bibliographic Services Department, supporting both electronic resource management and cataloging across multiple formats. Working under the guidance of professional catalogers, the Cataloging Coordinator oversees the e-resource lifecycle and maintains high-quality bibliographic and holdings data by evaluating, updating, and correcting records for accuracy, consistency, and clarity. The role requires strong knowledge of library systems—preferably Ex Libris Alma—along with metadata standards and e-resource management practices. Success in this position depends on independent judgment, self-direction, and adherence to American University’s Human Resources policies and procedures.
