About The Position

Under direction of the Registrar, the Catalog and Curriculum Specialist will be responsible for maintaining the college's electronic academic catalog and curriculum data systems. Serves as a key liaison between academic departments, the registrar's office, OIT, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely updates to curriculum information. Provides technical and administrative support for catalog systems and related applications. This position is grant funded, with funding through June 30, 2026. OVERALL PURPOSE AND RESPONSIBILITY: The primary and most important overall responsibility of all employees is to provide service in a pleasant, helpful, and effective manner to our students and other members of the College community.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree from an accredited college/university in a relevant discipline is required. Related experience may be substituted for education.
  • A minimum of two (2) years professional experience managing data entry or similar responsibilities
  • Demonstrated proficiency with data entry in technical systems with a preference for experience with student or curriculum information.
  • Experience troubleshooting data-related issues.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across departments and meet multiple deadlines.
  • Managing complex data entry and updates with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Troubleshooting technical issues and collaborating effectively with IT and vendors.
  • Coordinating multiple projects and meeting publication deadlines.
  • Developing and maintaining documentation, guides, and process workflows.
  • Communicating clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing, with diverse stakeholders.
  • Reviewing, proofreading, and editing catalog content for accuracy, consistency, and clarity.
  • Applying problem-solving and analytical skills to identify and resolve data discrepancies.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update the electronic academic catalog, ensuring accurate representation of all degree programs, courses, and academic policies.
  • Enter, audit, and verify curriculum data in student information systems (SIS), catalog management software, and degree audit tools as appropriate.
  • Collaborate with academic departments and committees to ensure timely updates to curriculum proposals, revisions, and approvals.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to catalog and curriculum systems, in collaboration with IT staff and vendors.
  • Manage version control and historical catalog archives.
  • Develop and document workflows, procedures, and training materials for catalog and curriculum maintenance.
  • Ensure compliance with institutional, accreditation, and state/federal requirements related to catalog and program information.
  • Train and support faculty and staff in using catalog and curriculum systems.
  • Identify and recommend process improvements and system enhancements.
  • Assist new and returning students in all processes related to Admissions and Registration office functions in various modalities including via phone, video, email, and in person.
  • Other related duties as assigned
