About The Position
Professional Cat Sitter — Santa Rosa / Sonoma County Metro Area Reliable. Detail-oriented. Strong communicator. The Comforted Kitty is hiring independent cat sitters (1099 independent contractor) for in-home visits. Enjoy complete job flexibility: You set your availability and service area—we match you with clients. What You’ll Do Provide in-home cat care (drop-ins, overnights, or live-in — based on your availability) Follow detailed care instructions (feeding, litter cleaning, socialization, meds if applicable) Send updates with notes & photos after each visit Maintain cleanliness and respect client homes Service Types Drop-ins: 30 / 45 / 60 minutes (1–3x daily) Extended daytime visits: 4-8 hours Overnights: 10-hour stays 24-hour care: live-in with overnight care What We Look For Experienced with cat care, especially in a pet sitting capacity Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented Strong written communication Comfortable working independently in clients’ homes Availability (especially holidays/travel periods) Pay & Perks Competitive per-visit pay Weekly direct deposit Bonus opportunities (holidays, short notice, strong feedback) 100% of tips go to you Schedule (Flexible, With Standards) You choose your availability and what job to accept. Requirements
- 18+ with hands-on cat care experience
- Smartphone with reliable internet & camera
- Ability to pass background check & provide references
- Strong communication and professionalism
- Experienced with cat care, especially in a pet sitting capacity
- Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
- Strong written communication
- Comfortable working independently in clients’ homes
- Availability (especially holidays/travel periods)
- If you accept a booking, you must arrive on time and complete every update.
