Requirements

• Applicants should be a graduate of a Radiologic Technology program.
• Associate or Baccalaureate degree in radiologic technology preferred
• Current Radiation Operator Certificate in state of practice.
• Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology in Radiology and Computed Tomography.
• BLS Required

Nice To Haves

• Previous hospital experience in CT is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide computed tomography imaging in accordance with the applicable scope and standards of practice.
• Review patient history and physician’s order.
• Educate patients regarding procedures, equipment and exams to ensure patient’s understanding and cooperation.
• Prepare and administer contrast media and/or medication within scope of practice when ordered.
• Monitor patient condition and respond to changes appropriately.
• Prepare equipment and supplies.
• Implement safety standards and perform quality control checks.
• Troubleshoot, resolve, and/or report equipment malfunctions.
• Position patient and perform imaging procedures.
• Analyze imaging results, identify quality issues and take corrective action, including repositioning patients and repeating procedures if needed.
• Enter, transmit, and report scan results.
• Participate in performance improvement and continuing education.
• Provide quality patient care and work flexible shifts/unit as needed.
