About The Position

The Casualty Associate Adjuster is responsible for the investigation, evaluation, negotiation, and resolution of casualty claims in alignment with policy provisions, industry best practices, and applicable jurisdictional regulations. This role involves accurate input and management of claim data, as well as providing clear guidance to insureds and claimants throughout the claims process and available options.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required, degree in insurance or risk management and 0-3 years of relevant work experience preferred.
  • Demonstrates foundational knowledge of insurance concepts (preferred) with the ability to steadily build proficiency
  • Ability to operate a personal computer and standard office equipment efficiently.
  • Capable of sitting and/or standing for extended periods during the workday.
  • Flexibility to work on-site as required by business needs.
  • Willingness and ability to travel as necessary for the role.
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced, and occasionally high-pressure environment.
  • Ability to perform duties in environments that may include moderate noise levels.
  • Must maintain a reliable, high-speed home internet connection to support remote work responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Engages with New Graduate Claims Development Program cohort and learning support system, including management, Learning & Development consultants, team leads and formal/informal mentors.
  • Participates in a structured casualty claim training program supporting professional development through Learn, Reflect, Apply methodology.

  • Learns and applies core casualty claim concepts under supervision while building confidence and expertise in delivering high-quality outcomes.
  • Conducts recorded phone interviews with involved parties to confirm cause of loss, coverage, liability, and damages.
  • Obtains all required insurance adjusting licenses during the onboarding experience.
  • Leverages critical thinking to analyze, evaluate, and negotiate claims of varying complexity.
  • Identifies potentially suspicious or fraudulent claims and escalates appropriately in collaboration with Special Investigations Unit (SIU).
