About The Position
The Casual Motor Coach Operator drives for the Campus-to-Campus (C2C) program on an as-needed basis. C2C provides express motor coach service between Cornell's Ithaca and NYC campuses. Buses are equipped with a variety of amenities. Safely operate a motor coach, and other passenger vehicles, while adhering to specified routes and schedules. Adhere to and comply with federal, state (including Article 19-A), and local traffic laws, and Cornell University policies and procedures. Likely stressful circumstances may include extreme weather, heavy traffic, or dissatisfied and unreasonable passengers. Responsible for training new Operators when requested. Employees are required to attend staff development trainings and participate in the performance evaluation process. Temporary and Casual Appointments, appointment to a Temp/Casual position may be ended at any time, by either party, for any reason. Starting wage for a Temporary/Casual Motor Coach Operator is $30.00/hr.
