Job Description Peterson Cat has a need for a Casual Help person at our Redding, CA location. The job is limited duration and will not last longer than six months. SUMMARY The person in the job is responsible for general clean-up of the shop and yard. Assists parts, service, and sales departments as needed. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS The following reflects management’s definition of essential functions for this job but does not restrict the tasks that may be assigned. Management may assign or reassign the functions to this job at any time due to reasonable accommodation or other reasons. Job functions include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Clean shop and yard as needed. Assist with set up and take down with special events. Assist in loading and unloading of trucks. Operate overhead cranes and other CAT equipment. Follow all safety procedures. Take care of environmental concerns including wash rack and soil remediation. Miscellaneous duties as assigned. Maintain punctual, regular, and predictable attendance.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED, and good previous work record required.
- Possess and maintain a valid Driver's License
Nice To Haves
- Experience in the safe operation of heavy and other miscellaneous equipment is preferred.
- Experience operating a steam cleaning machine preferred.
- Basic knowledge of mechanical work preferred but not required.
