About The Position

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join the cleaning team, which forms part of the Facilities Department. Based in the Students’ Union building on Park Place, Cardiff, the successful candidate will provide effective support to our busy department which operates to 24/7. We are looking for a part time casual evening cleaner working on Wednesday evening and Friday/ Saturday evenings, 8pm to 5am to cover all aspects of cleaning including - mopping, vacuuming, dusting, washing, wiping, buffing, window/glass cleaning, and toilet/shower facilities. Shift pattern: 2 shifts per week, 8pm to 5am (with ½ hour unpaid break) every Wednesday evening , and one other night. Interviews: 09/01/26 or 12/01/26. Patrwm shifftiau: 2 shifft yr wythnos, 8pm i 5am (gyda ½ awr o seibiant di-dâl) bob nos Fercher, a un noson arall. Cyfweliadau: 09/01/26 neu 12/01/26. Requirements

Previous experience in a cleaning role
The ability to work alone without supervision and as part of a team
Able to follow instructions quickly and effectively
Able to use cleaning equipment and chemicals safely
Effective communication skills
Basic reading and writing skills
Must be able to engage with and communicate effectively with people at a basic level in a customer focused environment
Must be able to work effectively with colleagues as part of the department and organisation team
