About The Position

Join the UPMC Shadyside School of Nursing as a Clinical Instructor! UPMC Shadyside School of Nursing is seeking a casual Nursing Instructor to join our expanding team. We welcome candidates with an BSN, enrollment in a MSN program with a 3-year completion plan, and 3 years of clinical experience. Final job title will reflect your education, experience, and manager discretion. The individual hired into this role will support a weekend clinical group (every other weekend).

Requirements

  • BSN required
  • MSN program enrollment with 3-year completion plan
  • 3 years of clinical practice
  • Precepting experience required; clinical teaching experience in prelicensure program preferred
  • Previous teaching experience preferred.
  • Certified Nurse Educator certification preferred.
  • Current Pennsylvania licensure as a Registered Professional Nurse.
  • Current licensure either in the state where the facility is located or, if the facility is in a state covered by the multistate Nursing Licensure Compact (NLC) agreement, a multistate license issued by a participating NLC state.
  • CPR Certification for BLS for Health Care Providers.
  • Act 33 with renewal
  • Act 34 with renewal
  • Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal

Nice To Haves

  • Previous teaching experience preferred.
  • Certified Nurse Educator certification preferred.
