We are looking to hire a Casting Technician As a Casting tech at MercyOne, you will be responsible for escorting patients to casting area, and prepares them for application
Requirements
- High school graduation or equivalent required
- 2 years experience in a physician clinic or hospital setting preferred
Nice To Haves
- Registered or Certified Orthopedic Technician (ROT), experience in orthopedic care and medical assistant experience a plus
Responsibilities
- Applies, modifies, repairs, fits and removes casts, splints, braces and dressings, as directed by physician
- Educates patients about cast care and follow up instructions
- Ensures the proper maintenance, record keeping, and ordering of tools, equipment and/or inventory and provides training for nursing, ancillary staff, and students
- Replenishes supplies-stocks and cleans casting area
- Recommends equipment and inventory purchases to Manager
