About The Position

Performs kettle treatments, casts pig/ingot and block lead. Operates necessary department process equipment including forklift and scrubbers to accomplish the job.

Requirements

• Good oral, written communication and basic math skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Meet qualifications for this position as described in the current collective bargaining unit agreement.
• Able to wear required personal protective equipment.
• Able to learn to operate casting machine, casting blocks, and perform kettle treatments
• Be qualified to access and handle red phosphorus.

Responsibilities

• Performs kettle treatments and casting operations.
• Operates departmental equipment including Forklifts and floor scrubbers.
• Complies with all environmental, health, safety and housekeeping programs.
• Other duties as assigned including contractor Safety/Environmental watch.
