This position reports to: Production Supervisor __ Your role and responsibilities In this role, you will have the opportunity to operate prime booth painting equipment to apply primer coatings to cast iron components in preparation for further processing or final assembly. Each day, you will execute assigned tasks according to agreed workflows and in accordance with company standard processes and safety guidelines, reporting any non-compliance. You will showcase your expertise by operating paint booth equipment in accordance with operating manuals, work schedules, and production order instructions to ensure products are coated accurately, efficiently, and to required quality standards. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 6 months of Industrial type experience or in lieu of industrial experience will consider military service, vocational/technical high school and technical college courses
  • Candidates must have a work authorization that would permit them to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous motor experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Interpret and follow work instructions, quality plans, special instructions, and production documentation to determine job requirements, critical parameters, material usage, and coating process steps.
  • Prepare, load/unload, and position cast iron parts for coating, ensuring surfaces are ready, then operate prime booth equipment to apply primer coatings that meet established quality and production standards.
  • Monitor coating application for coverage, thickness, and finish, identifying defects such as runs, dry spray, or adhesion issues, and verify product quality using inspection tools and documented criteria.
  • Maintain safe and efficient operations by performing routine cleaning and OPMs on spray equipment, booths, hoses, and tools while following all safety, environmental, and housekeeping requirements.
