As a CASSP Coordinator, your primary focus will be on the coordination of care for at-risk youth who are involved in multi-systems by having meetings to develop a multi-system service plan that will meet the individualized needs of the child and family. Work involves following-up with team members to ensure implementation of plans and providing ongoing assessment of the effectiveness of the service plan. You will have the opportunity to provide technical assistance to contract and service providers; interpret rules, regulations, policies and procedures; and provide advice regarding overall policies and program objectives.

Requirements

  • Two years of professional level experience in the field of mental health; and a bachelor's degree; or
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
  • You must meet the PA residency requirement.
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
  • You must pass a background investigation.
  • A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination and drug screening.
  • This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
  • Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Serving as the initial point of contact for all family-based referrals and reviewing for appropriateness
  • Working with county-wide personnel to facilitate joint service planning
  • Overseeing the planning and operation of committees and associations
  • Acting as the Student Assistance Program Coordinator, providing trainings as needed
