About The Position

The CASS Manager is responsible for managing and maintaining the Continuing Analysis and Surveillance System (CASS) in accordance with 14 CFR Part 121. This role ensures the effectiveness of the maintenance program by analyzing operational and maintenance data, identifying trends, and driving corrective actions through a closed-loop process. The position works closely with Quality Assurance, Engineering, Maintenance, and Safety to support regulatory compliance and continuous improvement of the airline’s maintenance program.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in aviation maintenance, quality, or reliability (Part 121 preferred)
  • Working knowledge of 14 CFR Part 121 regulations, including CASS requirements
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Effective communication and report-writing skills
  • Ability to work across departments and manage multiple priorities

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in aviation, engineering, or related field (preferred, not required)
  • Experience with CASS, SMS, or reliability programs preferred
  • Familiarity with maintenance tracking systems (e.g., TRAX or similar)

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain the CASS program in compliance with 14 CFR 121.373.
  • Ensure the CASS process remains effective and up to date.
  • Collect and analyze data from audits, reliability programs, maintenance discrepancies, and operational performance.
  • Identify trends, systemic issues, and emerging risks.
  • Support root cause analysis for identified issues.
  • Track corrective actions through closure and verify effectiveness.
  • Maintain the CASS action item list.
  • Ensure compliance with FAA regulations, company GMM, and approved maintenance programs.
  • Support internal and external audits.
  • Coordinate with QA, Engineering, Maintenance, and Safety to ensure proper data flow and issue resolution.
  • Communicate findings and required actions across departments.
  • Prepare and present CASS reports and summaries to leadership.
  • Maintain accurate records of analyses, findings, and corrective actions.
