About The Position

The Continuing Analysis and Surveillance System (CASS) Analyst performs root-cause analysis of identified trends for opportunities for continuous system improvements involving the 14 CFR Part 121 Continuous Airworthiness Maintenance Program (CAMP). The CASS Analyst responsibilities include: Categorizing data as it relates to aircraft maintenance and inspection processes (CAMP) and their associated risks. Assessing identified trends/hazards using root-cause and risk management processes. Assisting with the development of mitigation strategies. Tracking mitigation action plan implementation and assessing their effectiveness. Preparing presentations for the Aircraft Maintenance & Engineering Organization’s review of the outputs of the CASS Program. Performing research and analysis of aircraft maintenance operational or regulatory compliance events.

Requirements

  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant Certificate, or have sufficient knowledge of aircraft mechanical systems, aircraft maintenance practices, and aircraft maintenance terminology to perform trend analysis of that data.
  • Experience performing root cause analysis and monitoring processes to identify issues involving the CAMP.
  • Strong technical writing and presentation skills regarding aircraft maintenance and regulatory matters.
  • Working knowledge of 14 CFR Part 121 regulations and guidance material. Understands CASS functions, regulations, and requirements of regulatory agencies.
  • High degree of proficiency with commercial software applications including the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or National of the U.S., an alien lawfully admitted for permanent residence, or an alien authorized to work in the U.S. for this employer.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Airline Safety Management Systems (SMS), General Maintenance Manual (GMM), and conducting Risk Assessments.
