JOB TITLE: Casino Slot Technician ORGANIZATIONAL UNIT: Grand Casino Hotel and Resort SUPERVISOR: Slot Tech Supervisor FLSA: Non- Exempt HOURLY RATE: 21.00 – 31.00 ALL FULL TIME POSITIONS: In addition to your pay, your salary also includes Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance. The Biweekly deduction from employee paycheck is $40.00 for Employee Only, $95.00 Employee plus Children, $120.00 Employee plus Spouse, and $140.00 Employee plus family. FUNCTIONS STATEMENT: · To perform technical support on gaming machines. MAJOR DUTIES: · Responsible for troubleshooting, diagnosis, repairs, and performing preventative maintenance on all gaming machines. · Responsible for the relocating, removing, and installing of gaming machines. · Responsible for maintaining compliance with gaming regulations. · Provide friendly and courteous customer service. · NOTE: The above-described duties are intended to describe the general nature of work performed by an employee in this position. FACTOR 1: KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED BY THIS POSITION · Knowledge of the individual characteristics of each brand of gaming machine and its particular pros and cons. · Knowledge of the schematics for each brand of machine in operation. · Knowledge of the particular software for each brand and variations thereof. · Knowledge of software development. FACTOR 2: SUPERVISORY CONTROLS · Incumbent is under direct supervision of the Slot Tech Supervisor, Citizen Potawatomi Nation, Grand Casino Hotel & Resort Casino. · Supervisor assigns work on information regarding the objectives, priorities and deadlines. · Incumbent handles each task independently according to established policies and accepted practices. · Supervisor assigns work in terms of project objectives and basic priorities and is available in the immediate area for consultation. · Completed tasks are reviewed to determine that objectives have been met and are in compliance with schematics and instructions. · FACTOR 3: GUIDELINES · Incumbent uses prescribed verbal instructions and guides, and employer standard operating procedures. · Guidelines include Supervisor instructions and direction and Citizen Potawatomi Nation regulations and directives, manufacturer’s catalogs, handbooks, precedents, NIGC publications and files of previous projects. · The Incumbent implements adaptations in dealing with problems and unusual situations with supervisor’s permission. FACTOR 4: COMPLEXITY · As the level of difficulty increases, the incumbent notifies the supervisor regarding proper course of action. · Incumbent will rarely be faced with unusual circumstances and incomplete or conflicting data. · The level of difficulty will vary from mild to moderately complex circumstances on a routine basis. FACTOR 5: SCOPE AND EFFECT · The purpose of the work is to maintain functional machines resulting in a satisfied customer and generate a profit by providing quality services within the Grand Casino Hotel & Resort. · The work affects the bottom line (profit) of the Grand Casino Hotel & Resort and subsequently the reflection upon the image of the Citizen Potawatomi Nation as a successful entrepreneur. FACTOR 6: PERSONAL CONTACTS · The range of contacts include ordinary citizens who come to enjoy the amenities offered by the property, to International dignitaries in addition to dignitaries who represent the Citizen Potawatomi Nation, National Indian Gaming Commission. FACTOR 7: PURPOSE OF CONTACTS · The purpose of the contacts is to provide data to demonstrate that compliance and integrity standards are being implemented at the highest possible level within available resources. FACTOR 8: PHYSICAL DEMANDS · The incumbent will perform physical efforts such as climbing, lifting and reaching. · The preponderancy of physical exertion will be spent in walking from one service area to another. · Sitting or standing or walking for long periods of time; frequent bending, squatting, kneeling, stooping; good finger dexterity and feeling; frequent repetitive motions; talking hearing, and visual acuity · Frequent lifting (up to 50 lbs) (Slot Tech Cont’d. Pg 3) · Occasional lifting (up to 75 lbs) · This position is physically very active in nature. FACTOR 9: WORK ENVIRONMENT · The work environment is typical of that in a busy casino with heavy cigarette smoke accompanied with a variety of competing noises and communications. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR CONSIDERATION: Must have a High School diploma or GED equivalent Working knowledge of computers Ability to interpret operational guides and manuals Ability to perform basic math functions Must have very good communication and written skills Ability to work any shift, start time, weekends, and holidays
