About The Position

The Casino Porter is responsible for providing excellent guest service and creating a safe and friendly environment for employees and guests while establishing and maintaining the cleanliness of assigned areas in the Casino and public areas. This role is crucial in ensuring that the casino remains a welcoming and enjoyable space for all visitors. The day-to-day responsibilities include sweeping and removing all wrappers, broken glass, ashtrays, and debris from the floor. The Casino Porter will also clean and dust slot machines, including areas between machines, doors, and woodwork. Additionally, the role involves removing scuff marks and drink spills, cleaning up biohazard areas, and ensuring that slot chairs are clean and polished before returning them to their proper positions. The porter will vacuum entire assigned stations, moving chairs and other objects to ensure thorough cleaning, and will also be responsible for removing trash, replacing missing ashtrays, and wiping out and cleaning all ashtrays and trash cans. An essential part of the role is to respond to and resolve guest challenges in a timely manner, creatively solving problems with the ability to anticipate, recognize, evaluate, and resolve potential difficulties. This position requires the ability to work varied shifts, including holidays and weekends, to meet the needs of the casino environment.
