Requirements

  • Must possess a minimum of 5 years Environmental Services Supervisory experience.
  • Must have a thorough knowledge of all cleaning procedures, equipment and supplies.
  • Must demonstrate critical thinking skills; demonstrated ability to make sound decisions, problem solve and effectively handle employee issues.
  • Must demonstrate keen attention to detail.
  • Must possess strong organizational skills and have the ability to multi-task to meet deadlines.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate both oral and written.
  • Must demonstrate a working knowledge of OSHA requirements and ensure department adherence to safety procedures.
  • Basic Math skills and a working knowledge of MS Office programs.
  • Must have the ability to review & present statistics regarding Casino cleaning performance.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain PA Harness License and Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board License, and remain current with all required training and/or certifications.
  • Must be able to stand/walk unassisted for duration of shift.
  • Must be able to work indoors and/or outdoors and in various weather conditions.
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, grasp and reach to and from the floor level and above head.
  • Must be able to climb ladders and stairs.
  • Must be able to work in typical casino environment, which may include confined spaces, high above the ground, such as catwalks, noisy, smoky, hot and/or cold, and dimly lit areas.
  • Must have good hand/eye coordination and manual dexterity.
  • Must be able to work with and around stains, paints and various chemicals.
  • Must be able to safely use hand and power tools relative to the industry.
  • Must have a normal sense of smell, touch and sound.
  • Must have hearing within normal range.
  • Must be able to distinguish letters, numbers and symbols.
  • Must have a normal range of vision, including absence of color blindness.
  • This environment is a 24/7/365 day entertainment venue. Must be able to work flexible hours and shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Must be dependable with regard to attendance and punctuality.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the EVS Manager in supervising all functions of the EVS Department and employees.
  • Responsible for assisting EVS Manager in all aspects of staffing, including posting of positions, interviews, hiring, scheduling, performance evaluations and when necessary, disciplinary action and termination.
  • Responsible for assisting EVS Manager in all aspects of records maintenance.
  • Shares in the responsibility for meeting employee needs including ensuring that all employees have the necessary equipment to perform their job.
  • Must maintain high visibility on property; Assist EVS Manager in conducting departmental staff meetings.
  • Must lead by example; Provide coaching as appropriate to assist EVS Leads and employees in reaching their full potential as a member of the EVS team.
  • Must ensure effective communication of all departmental/Company information to staff.
  • Ability to manage per company policies, all regulatory requirements and CBA; Assist Supervisors in understanding a Union environment and contract obligations.
  • Review and approve all supply orders and equipment maintenance.
  • Create a positive, professional work environment emphasizing a teamwork approach and effective communication.
  • Maintain professional conduct and appearance.
  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, laws, regulatory requirements, including required trainings.
  • Assist with general cleaning and maintenance duties, as required.
  • Regular and predictable attendance is required. Must be flexible; Shift work, weekend and holiday work schedule required as deemed necessary by the Manager.
  • Responsible for timely completion of monthly reports and schedules.
