About The Position

America's second oldest horse racing track, the Fair Grounds has been a New Orleans staple since 1852. We are a premiere entertainment venue presenting thoroughbred & exotic animal races, slots, video poker and simulcasting year-round. Located in New Orleans, Fair Grounds operates a slot-machine gaming facility and 13 off-track betting parlors throughout southeast Louisiana. The position is responsible for improving customer service, developing and implementing new promotions and maintaining and cultivating relationships with VIP customers.

Requirements

• Must be 21 years or older.
• Must be able to obtain a Gaming and Racing License from Louisiana Racing Commission.
• 1-2 years of experience.
• Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret common documentation.
• Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from team members, regulatory agencies or members of the staff.
• Ability to write and present information to management in a reasonable manner.
• Ability to perform normal mathematical computations in regards to the implementation of current duties.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
• Ability to interpret an extensive variety of instructions and deal with several variables.

Responsibilities

• Market and recruit new guests and other customers to property.
• Monitor visitation and play of VIP guests and walk the Slot floor regularly to provide customer service and assistance.
• Respond to guest's requests, questions or concerns in an immediate and attentive fashion using detailed precision.
• Prepare for guests visits and follow-up throughout and after departure, maintaining contact to ensure return visits.
• Tele-market various player lists for contacting, attracting and information gathering purposes.
• Attend special events and promotions to build guest rapport and create recognition amongst guests.
• Determine player eligibility of complimentary services by analyzing player accounts while maintaining management reinvestment guidelines.
• Maintain current, accurate player account information in Oasis to insure database integrity and privacy.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
