The Commercial Kitchen Technician is responsible for technical diagnostics and performs specialized repairs on several commercial grade food service appliances, equipment and systems including refrigeration and freezer units and compressors, dish machines, disposals, gas ovens, grills, and other electrical, electronic and mechanical devices. You will report to the Manager. Primary Tasks: 1. You will perform scheduled and unplanned repairs on all commercial kitchen equipment and appliances. 2. Work to complete open and outstanding work orders through CMMS. 3. Perform preventive maintenance inspections on all commercial kitchen equipment and appliances. 4. Maintain, service and repair of ice machines, refrigeration units, walk-in refrigerators and freezers. 5. You will maintain, service and repair of exhaust and makeup air systems 6. Contact and coordinate work with outside vendors and coordinate all activities and repairs with supervisory personnel. 7. Identify operating challenges that lead to kitchen equipment failure in restaurants and kitchens. 8. Detect, repair, and document activity and report on improper faulty equipment. 9. Respond to service order requests. 10. Follow safety procedures and OSHA regulations. 11. Perform other tasks as assigned.
