About The Position

The Casino Cage Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the Main Bank or Cage Vault during the assigned shift, ensuring the secure handling of cash and valuables. The individual is responsible for directly supervising and managing Cage Cashiers, ensuring they follow proper procedures and perform their tasks efficiently. Additionally, the role includes training Cage Cashiers on cash handling, security protocols, and customer service, ensuring they are well-prepared to manage transactions accurately and in compliance with relevant regulations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bilingual proficiency (English and Spanish) is mandatory.
  • Must hold a valid Casino license issued by the Puerto Rico Gaming Commission.
  • Minimum of 2–4 years of experience in Casino Cage operations, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or lead role.
  • Thorough knowledge of casino rules, regulations, and operational procedures.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and casino management systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion and integrity.
  • Ability to effectively lead, coach, and support cage personnel to meet operational goals and uphold service standards.
  • Demonstrates a strong commitment to accuracy, honesty, and adherence to regulatory guidelines, including Gaming Commission and internal audit requirements.
  • Proven ability to manage high-volume cash transactions with precision, ensuring proper documentation and reconciliation procedures.
  • Capable of analyzing complex issues, making informed decisions quickly, and escalating when necessary.
  • Excellent time management and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to stand during long periods.
  • Ability to maintain alertness and focus in a busy, often noisy environment.
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays, and sometimes long hours.
  • Light work – Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
