About The Position
Canteen is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Cashroom Assistant to join our team in San Diego. This full-time position is crucial for maintaining the accuracy and efficiency of our cash handling processes. The Cashroom Assistant will be responsible for preparing deposit verifications and currency orders for our vending route drivers, ensuring that all financial transactions are handled with precision and care. The role requires a strong commitment to accuracy, as the assistant will maintain the accuracy of the money collected and returned by route drivers, prepare and distribute change of coins and petty cash, and ensure that coin and currency counters are accurate. Additionally, the Cashroom Assistant will verify route statements before making end-of-day deposits and balance the vault to ensure that the funds deposited match the route statements.
