About The Position

The position involves assisting customers and cashiers during the checkout process, bagging groceries, retrieving carts, and may include acting as a cashier. All Whole Foods Market Retail jobs require ensuring a positive company image by providing courteous, friendly, and efficient service to customers and Team Members at all times. Responsibilities

• Bags groceries.
• Retrieves carts and baskets.
• Cleans, sweeps, mops, stocks products, and helps ensure overall maintenance of the department.
• May operate cash register equipment.
• Assists supervisor in controlling customer flow and reducing customer waiting time.
• Arrives to work station on time, appropriately groomed, dressed, and ready to work.
• Works all scheduled shifts and attends required trainings and meetings.
• Provides excellent customer service and addresses customer needs in a timely manner.
• Models suggestive selling techniques.
• Answers phones and pages promptly and courteously.
• Maximizes sales potential through effective procedures for prepping, storing, rotating, stocking, and merchandising product.
• Follows and ensures compliance with established procedures, including health and sanitation.
• Maintains a clean and sanitary working and shopping environment.
• Performs opening, mid, and closing duties as assigned.
• Ensures accuracy of signs and pricing.
• Reports safety hazards and violations.
• Performs other duties as assigned by leadership.
