As a cashier, the primary role involves providing a positive customer experience through fair, friendly, and courteous service, utilizing point-of-sale equipment to register sales by scanning items, itemizing, and totaling customer purchases.
Requirements
- Must be 16 years (must provide workers permit) or older.
- Highly organized with a keen sense of details.
- Great listening and communication skills.
- Can handle lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, bending, and twisting while handling products or using various equipment.
- Ability to shine in a fast-paced environment.
- Cash handling efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Processes customer purchases, perform general cleaning duties and return misplaced items to the shelves.
- Provide exceptional customer service, assisting customers with their shopping experience.
- Collaborate with team members and communicate clearly to the store management team.
- Provide feedback to management on all products, inventory losses, scanning errors, and general issues.
- Participate in taking store inventory counts according to guidelines and monitoring inventory for accuracy.
- Adheres to cash policies and procedures to minimize losses.
- Complies with all other established company policies and procedures.
- Collaborates with team members and communicates relevant information to the direct leader.
- Other duties as assigned.
