About The Position

Sun Devil Athletics seek a part-time Cashier who, under general direction, performs activities associated with selling tickets for Sun Devil Athletic events including walk-up sales and will-call. Reports to the Assistant Ticket Office Manager. Adheres to NCAA and Big 12 rules and regulations, as well as the policies and procedures of the department, the university, and the Arizona Board of Regents.

Requirements

• High School Diploma and two-years (2) experience appropriate to the area of assignment/field; OR, Any equivalent combination of experience and/or training from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in sales (6 months).
• Experience working in an athletic ticket office preferred.
• Experience working in a customer service environment.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Ticketmaster ticketing system.
• Demonstrated knowledge of cash handling practices.
• Evidence of effective verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Sells tickets for Sun Devil Athletics events.
• Provides excellent customer service in-person or by phone, answering customer's questions regarding athletic ticket sales; determines locations of seats upon request.
• Totals prices and tax on tickets selected by customer; accepts payment following established procedures for different types of transactions; makes change; issues sales receipt; calculates discounts when appropriate.
• Counts and balances cash register and receipts.
• Distributes tickets at will-call.
• Fills out specific forms to process transactions or special orders such as refunds.
• Assists department staff with mass mailings to customers.
• Assists with Ticket Office operations and setup for events.
