Responsibilities

• Process Member purchases, including verifying, renewing, upgrading, and offering membership products.
• Scan merchandise and accept various forms of payments.
• Provide excellent member service in an efficient and productive manner.
• Maintain the overall cleanliness of the front-line department.

• Ensure all items are stocked and promotional plans are executed.
• Maintain visible accurate signage.
• Keep the club clean and organized, inside and out.
• Understand how to access and read production and/or financial performance reporting for the department.
• See the connection between consistent execution and positive business impact.
• Exhibit clear understanding of all BJ’s Membership options, including renewals and upgrading to BJ’s Loyalty programs.
• Offer appropriate membership products such as renewal, EASY renewal, BJ’s Loyalty programs, and Rewards redemption.
• Check Members out in a timely and efficient manner.
• Fill shopping carts when necessary and assist at self-checkout stations.
• Collect payments via cash, check, or other charge payments.
• Issue receipts or change due to Members.
• Stay up to date on all merchandise promotions, advertisements, and product information.
• Discount purchases by scanning and redeeming coupons.
• Assist in general club housekeeping when necessary.
• Return re-sellable merchandise to the sales floor area.
• Manage self-checkout and scan and pan lanes.
• Assist Members with operations and technical difficulties.
• Meet cashier productivity expectations.
• Maintain all club policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned, including working in other departments as needed.
• Maintain regular, predictable, full attendance.
