About The Position

HarborWalk Village offers waterfront shopping, boat, pontoon and jet ski rentals, world class fishing, aqua adventures, dolphin cruises, clubs and nightlife, weekly fireworks, seasonal festivals, live entertainment, and a variety of restaurants. The Cashier is responsible for providing fast, accurate, and friendly service to guests in a high-volume beach and marina retail environment. This role manages register transactions, cash handling, and supports the overall guest experience while helping maintain a clean, organized store. The Cashier is often the first and last interaction with customers and plays a key role in ensuring a positive and efficient checkout experience.

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Valid driver’s license that has been in effect for at least three years, with no major violations and no more than two minor violations in the past three years.
  • All employees must adhere to all safety rules and regulations required by local, State and Federal authorities, wear the appropriate personal protective equipment necessary to perform the job in a safe manner and will follow all safety rules per the Company’s Safety Policy.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand for long periods of time frequently; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear.
  • The employee will walk and stoop, kneel, or crouch.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • The employee must be able to lift 5-25 pounds regularly and over 25 with assistance, as needed, as part of the daily responsibilities.

Nice To Haves

  • A minimum of 1 years’ experience in customer service preferred.
  • Boating/fishing experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Operate POS register for retail, fuel, and bait sales
  • Accurately handle cash, credit cards, and other payment methods
  • Balance cash drawer and follow cash management procedures
  • Process refunds, exchanges, and price checks
  • Maintain clean and organized checkout areas
  • Restock front-end merchandise, bags, and supplies
  • Assist customers with questions, directions, and general marina/store information
  • Provide a friendly, welcoming, and efficient checkout experience
  • Help keep store clean including counters, floors, restrooms (as assigned), and outdoor areas
  • Communicate customer needs, low stock items, and issues to supervisors
  • Assist sales floor with light stocking and recovery during slower periods
  • Follow all cash handling and loss prevention procedures
