The Cashier assists store customers in selecting and purchasing items. This role involves operating and maintaining a cash register, collecting monies, counting change, preparing receipts, balancing the cash register drawer, printing routine register print-outs, and preparing and delivering bank deposits. The Cashier also responds to customer questions, assists customers donating items, and maintains the cleanliness and orderliness of merchandise, displays, and the cash register area. Additional duties include securing merchandise and the cash register, cleaning display racks, shelves, floors, windows, and mirrors, and answering the store telephone courteously.
