About The Position

This position is for a Cashier in Concessions at Soldier Field. The role involves performing cashiering duties such as making cash transactions, verifying cash drawers, giving change, counting cash receipts, and completing cash reports. The cashier may also perform general food service work and is responsible for maintaining sanitation standards in preparation, service, and dining areas. Key aspects include timely sales transactions, accurate recording of purchases, handling various payment methods, issuing refunds, and resolving customer complaints in a friendly manner. The role also requires managing assigned change funds, observing customer purchases, replenishing supplies like condiments and beverages, stocking pastry cases, and ensuring compliance with company service standards, inventory, cash control, sanitation, ServSafe, and safety requirements. The work is event-driven, taking place at Soldier Field which hosts various sports games and concerts.

Requirements

• Ability to perform sales transactions in a timely fashion.
• Proficiency in operating a cash register for accurate recording of purchases.
• Ability to handle cash transactions, make change, and process various forms of payment.
• Knowledge of standard procedures for issuing cash refunds.
• Customer service skills to interact with customers and resolve complaints in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
• Responsibility for managing assigned change funds and cash receipts, ensuring compliance with overage/shortage standards.
• Ability to observe customer purchases and differentiate standard portions.
• Ability to replenish condiments, coffee, other beverages, and general supplies.
• Ability to maintain cleanliness of service areas and keep pastry cases stocked.
• Adherence to company service standards, inventory, and cash control procedures.
• Compliance with all sanitation, ServSafe, and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Performs sales transactions in a timely fashion.
• Enters all sales into the cash register to ensure purchases are accurately recorded.
• Makes change, accepts declining balance cards and other acceptable forms of payment; issues receipts to customers.
• Follows standard procedures for issuing cash refunds.
• Interacts with customers and resolves customer complaints in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
• Responsible for all assigned change funds and cash receipts ensuring that cash drawer is in compliance with overage/shortage standards.
• Observes customer purchases in the cafe line and differentiates between standard portions.
• Replenishes condiments, coffee, other beverages and general supplies while maintaining cleanliness of service areas.
• Keeps pastry case stocked.
• Ensures compliance with company service standards and inventory and cash control procedures.
• Ensures compliance with all sanitation, ServSafe and safety requirements.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
