The position pays $17.13 per hour and is responsible for operating cash registers, providing customer service, and maintaining shelf stock. Requirements
- High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
- 1 – 3 months of related experience and/or training
- Exceptional analytical, judgment, decision-making and communications skills
- Superior coaching, leadership and interpersonal skills, including the ability to build understanding and consensus
- Ability to read and interpret hard data and metrics
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages, and average
- Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra when working on spreadsheets
- Ability to create and manage departmental budget
- Ability to navigate through multiple program screens and easily use a computer, keyboard, mouse, 10-key and touchscreen
- Comprehensive understanding of all aspects of a Cashier
- Self-motivated; resourceful, creative; high integrity; problem solver; looks to resolve issues; positive can-do approach; and ability to build effective working relationships
Responsibilities
- Operation of cash registers
- Maintaining shelf stock; stocking the sales floor as needed and directed by store management
- Answering phone inquiries
- Maintain a safe/clean and well-merchandised store
- Provide excellent customer service to a variety of customers
- Follow Goodwill’s cash handling policies and company procedures
- Willing to be a team player in order to accomplish competitive deadlines and goals
