The Cashier assists store customers in selecting and purchasing items. This role involves operating and maintaining a cash register, handling monetary transactions including collecting monies, counting change, preparing receipts, balancing the cash register drawer, printing routine register print-outs, and preparing and delivering bank deposits. The Cashier also responds to customer questions, assists customers donating items, and maintains the cleanliness and orderliness of merchandise, displays, and the store environment, including the cash register area, display racks, shelves, floors, windows, and mirrors. Additionally, the Cashier is responsible for answering the store telephone courteously.
