About The Position

Smoko Loco, located inside Big Bob’s Bowling, is looking for a friendly, reliable Cashier/Runner to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for processing transactions, assisting guests at the ordering window, and helping ensure every customer receives fast, accurate, and welcoming service. As the first point of contact for many guests, the Cashier/Runner plays an important role in creating a positive dining experience. This position involves taking orders, answering menu questions, recommending food and beverages, and coordinating with the kitchen team to ensure orders are prepared correctly and efficiently. The role also includes supporting servers and maintaining a clean and organized dining environment. The ideal candidate is customer-focused, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced food service and entertainment environment.

  • Food Handler’s Licenserequired
  • Previouscashier or restaurant experience preferred but notrequired
  • Knowledge of proper food handling procedures
  • Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced restaurant and entertainment environment
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time
  • Ability to move quickly between the register, service window, and guest areas
  • Ability tolift upto 25 pounds when necessary
  • Comfortable working in a busy, high-energy environment

Responsibilities

  • Greet guests warmly at theSmokoLoco ordering window and provide excellent customer service.
  • Process cash, credit card, and electronic transactions accurately and efficiently.
  • Accurately take customer orders and enter them into the point-of-sale (POS) system.
  • Answer guest questions about menu items, ingredients, and daily specials.
  • Maintain strong knowledge of menu items, including meats, sides, and beverages,in order tomake recommendations and upsell add-ons.
  • Coordinate with kitchen staff and team members to ensuretimelyandaccurateorder preparation.
  • Deliver food to guest tables when servers are busy andassistwith overall service flow.
  • Welcome guests, escort them to tables when needed, and provide menus.
  • Serve complimentary snacks to guests once they are seated.
  • Clear dirty plates, utensils, and glassware from tables as needed and transport items to the kitchen area.
  • Prepare tables for incoming guests by wiping spills, clearing crumbs, replacing soiled linens, and resetting tableware, napkins, and condiments.
  • Wrap utensils in napkins andmaintainadequate supply for service.
  • Ensure the server station and bar area remain clean, organized, and properly stocked.
  • Arrange tables and chairs to accommodate larger groups of guests.
  • Respond to guest requests promptly and notify management of any complaints or concerns.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and stocked cashier and service area.
  • Ensure proper handling and storage of cash, receipts, and register supplies.
  • Support team members during busy service periods to ensure smooth operations.
  • Completeadditionaltasks andresponsibilitiesassigned by management.
