About The Position

Join our team as a Cashier at Lees Marketplace, where you will utilize your excellent customer service skills in a friendly and encouraging work environment. This role involves managing all incoming and outgoing funds at your register, engaging with guests and team members, and participating in training opportunities to enhance your skills and achieve Cashier certification.

Requirements

• Minimum age of 17 years.
• Ability to lift 30+ pounds.
• Ability to walk, stand, sit, twist, and bend regularly; repetitive use of hands and arms for various tasks.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and operating manuals.
• Strong communication skills to respond to pages, requests, and interact with team members and guests.

Responsibilities

• Develop maximum customer relations through friendly and courteous behavior.
• Promote a high level of morale within the department and store through honest and open communication.
• Provide a safe, clean, and positive environment while supporting a culture of relationships and continuous improvement.
• Comply with all company policies, procedures, and programs, referring to the Team Member Handbook as needed.
• Promote a harassment-free environment and report any harmful situations to management immediately.
• Strive to build knowledge and skills through training and education for yourself and other team members.
• Attend departmental, store, and company meetings as required and meet productivity standards.
• Pass and maintain all current store certification requirements.
• Ensure behavior and productivity are always at the highest possible standard.
• Use experience to help develop other cashiers.
• Assist guests by possessing knowledge of product locations throughout the store.
• Operate the cash register and perform checkout procedures efficiently and accurately.
• Maintain knowledge of current perishable codes for fast checkouts.
• Follow ID policies on checks and alcohol sales.
• Bag guest purchases efficiently according to company procedures.
• Stay informed about Ad items, special prices, and coupon deals.
• Notify personnel of pricing errors or items not found during checkout.
• Implement security and cash drawer accounting procedures as outlined by company policies.
• Meet productivity and accuracy standards, maintaining awareness of 'over and short' policies.
