About The Position
Bonfare Market #43 is seeking a part-time Cashier to join our team in Modesto. This position is crucial for providing excellent customer service to our patrons who come to purchase gas or items from our convenience store. As a neighborhood market, we pride ourselves on being reliable and timely, and we are looking for someone who shares these values. The Cashier will be responsible for a variety of tasks that ensure the smooth operation of the gas station and convenience store. This includes greeting customers, processing transactions, maintaining the cleanliness of the checkout area, and ensuring that the gas dispensers are operational. The ideal candidate will be motivated, customer service-oriented, and able to handle various responsibilities efficiently. In this role, the Cashier will not only handle cash and credit transactions but will also assist customers with their purchases and address any questions or issues they may have. Daily responsibilities include tracking transactions, reporting discrepancies, stocking inventory, and maintaining a clean and safe environment. The Cashier will also be expected to fill out daily reports and assist in keeping the parking areas and restrooms clean. This position may require occasional evening and weekend shifts, so flexibility is important. We are looking for someone who can lift up to 50 lbs and is at least 21 years old to comply with regulations regarding the sale of gas and convenience store items.
