About The Position
Flowers Hospital is a 235-bed healthcare facility dedicated to providing comprehensive medical services to the Wiregrass community. The Cashier position in the Food & Nutrition department is a full-time role that plays a crucial part in our cafeteria operations. Under the direct supervision of the Food & Nutrition Supervisor, the cashier is responsible for the accurate operation of cash register systems and for providing efficient service to customers. This role requires maintaining a professional rapport with patrons while ensuring that all transactions are processed accurately. The cashier may also be cross-trained to prepare and serve both regular and modified diets, catering to a diverse population ranging from pediatric to geriatric patients. Adherence to all federal, state, and local guidelines governing safe food handling and preparation is essential in this position.
