About The Position

The Cashier/Floor Worker at Texas Thrift is responsible for providing exceptional customer service while maintaining the sales floor's appearance to enhance the shopping experience. Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail.
• Good eye-hand coordination for sorting, grasping, color coordinating, and tagging items.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to read and write.

Responsibilities

• Provide fast, friendly, and courteous service to customers.
• Greet and assist customers on the sales floor, making eye contact and smiling.
• Walk the sales floor to straighten and organize as needed, and remove trash.
• Operate the cash register, accurately counting and providing change to customers.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area for safety and efficiency.
• Follow company safety guidelines to provide a hazard-free environment.
• Communicate courteously with the public and fellow employees.
• Balance the cash drawer at the end of each shift without any overage or shortage.
