About The Position
As a Cashier for the Employee Dining Room at The Cosmopolitan, you will provide friendly, efficient service while supporting the daily operations of this team-focused dining space. In this role, you will handle cash and credit transactions with accuracy, maintain balanced registers, and ensure all processes follow company and regulatory standards. You will also assist with stocking areas such as the bakery, maintain a clean and organized service area, and support overall food and beverage operations as needed. Through reliability, attention to detail, and a strong service mindset, you will help create a smooth and positive dining experience for team members throughout the property.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- 1+ Years of Prior Relevant Experience as a cashier for retail or a Food and Beverage environment required
- Work Varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays required
Responsibilities
- Provide courteous and professional guest service by greeting guests, addressing inquiries about menu items, promotions, or casino offerings, and resolving or escalating concerns as needed
- Accurately process guest transactions (cash, credit, vouchers, player comps, promotions)
- Balance cash drawer and reconcile sales at the beginning and end of each shift
- Ensure compliance with company policies, gaming regulations, and cash handling procedures.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of all workstations and surrounding areas
