About The Position

Federated Co-ops, Inc. is looking to hire an additional Cashier Deli to work out of our Isle Cenex location! As a Cashier Deli, you must be friendly, outgoing, and able to handle a fast-paced environment. Must have excellent customer service skills and be able to multi-task under pressure. Must be able to work various hours and shifts, be flexible and have a teachable attitude. Experience preferred, but willing to train the right candidate. Summary: Receives cash from customers or employees in payment for goods or services by performing the following duties.

Responsibilities

  • Computes or re-computes bill, itemized lists, and tickets showing amount due.
  • Makes change, cashes checks, and issues receipts or tickets to customers.
  • Records amounts received and prepares reports of transactions.
  • Reads and records totals shown on cash register tape and verifies against cash on hand.
  • Quotes price and describes features of items for which money is received.
  • Gives cash refunds or issues credit memorandums to customers for returned merchandise.
  • Operates cash register by passing price coded items across electronic scanner to record price, compile printed list, and display cost of customer purchase, tax, and rebates on monitor screen.
  • Prepares and stocks food.
