About The Position

The Cashier Attendant is responsible for creating and maintaining a pleasant, friendly, and professional environment by acknowledging, greeting, and welcoming customers to the location; offering safe and efficient vehicle guidance, and active control of all parking spaces and directions in accordance with company performance standards. It is the responsibility of the Cashier Attendant to perform excellent customer service and communication skills as the face of the Fly Away Valet.

  • Ability to bend, stoop, squat and lift as needed throughout a shift.
  • Able to move luggage in and out of customer vehicles

Nice To Haves

  • Candidates with 1 year in hospitality industry preferred, including experience in guest and/or customer service (parking industry a plus).

Responsibilities

  • Greet arriving guests, provides courteous, efficient, and enthusiastic service for guest requesting valet parking.
  • Verify the "bank" of cash provided for change and necessary supplies at the start of each shift.
  • Issue tickets to customers recording the required information on each ticket.
  • Collect payment either through cash, credit card or validation always securing cash according to the company’s standard operating procedures.
  • Process exception transactions (e.g., lost tickets, grace period tickets, etc.) according to company policy, including completing the applicable form.
  • Provide the correct change for cash transactions and issue a receipt for all fee transactions.
  • Accurately complete the daily shift paperwork by recording the number of transactions by parking rate, number of vehicles in and out of the facility, number of contract parkers.
  • Inspect vehicles for overall condition and note any dents, missing parts, or distinguishing features.
  • Check and notify guests of pre-existing damage to their vehicles.
  • Record guest names, vehicle information and secure the guest’s keys for parking.
  • Accommodate guests requiring special assistance and aid.
  • Identify vehicle designated parking location and provide guest with vehicle claim check.
  • Report issues and/or potential problems which may have an impact on the security of guest vehicles and avoid traffic congestion and delays at entrances.
  • Assist guests with all luggage.
  • Respond to emergency situations when required.
  • Promote and maintain the highest level of customer service to all guests while staying alert to their needs.
  • Respond effectively to guest inquiries, providing excellent guest service.
  • Resolve guest complaints within scope of authority; otherwise refer the matter to management. Notify supervisor and/or Security of all unusual events, circumstances, missing items, or alleged theft.
  • Always keep valet and cashier booth area neat and tidy.
  • Quote prices for parking services for which money is received upon customer receipt.
