About The Position

Legends Global , the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an excellent and immediate opening for a Cashier at the Aquarium of The Pacific . This position is responsible for the overall accurate accounting of all transactions, including inventory management and cash handling.

Requirements

  • Must have basic working knowledge of cash registers and cash handling procedures.
  • Must have sufficient math ability to accurately count and handle money.
  • Must have basic working knowledge of concession/cafeteria operations.
  • Must be able to follow directions and perform the work effectively.
  • Must have a pleasant personality and neat appearance.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with customers, supervisors, and employees.
  • Positive, customer service-oriented attitude at all times.
  • Strong knowledge of sanitary practices.
  • Maintains proper grooming and dress code standards.
  • Strong work ethic with a sense of urgency and attention to quality in a team environment.
  • Ability to work with other staff members in the facility.
  • Ability to undertake and complete multiple tasks.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Requires the ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, in addition to normal business hours.
  • Regularly required to move around the facility, stand for long periods during events, talk, and hear.
  • This position may require work inside or outside of the building, as needed by events.
  • This position requires stooping and lifting.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs to the waist.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains accurate accounting of all cash and inventory at the assigned concession stand.
  • Performs location worker assignments.
  • Stands for long periods of time.
  • Maintains safe working conditions and sanitary work area for employees.
  • Plans for daily sales flow based on projections.
  • Plans for peak hour sales and makes change requirements known to the Food & Beverage Manager.
  • Organizes paperwork including cashier physical inventory stand sheets, meal sheets, spoilage reports, and cash slips.
  • Verifies the correct item prices according to the menu.
  • Stocks and restocks products upon delivery to the location.
  • Monitors proper recording of employees' meals and meal vouchers (if applicable).
  • Maintains accurate cash handling procedures at all times.
  • Follows all rules and regulations of Food and Beverage operations.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
  • Maintains a clean, safe working environment.
  • Complies with transfer and requisition, cash handling, and purchasing policies and procedures.
  • Must have a valid California Food Handler Card and RBS (Responsible Beverage Service) Certificate .
  • Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
