About The Position

The Cashier and Customer Service Representative at Time Out Stores is responsible for providing excellent customer service, accurately processing transactions, and maintaining a clean and organized cash station. This role involves direct interaction with customers, handling cash, and supporting store operations under the supervision of the store manager. The position can be part-time or full-time, offering flexible scheduling and opportunities for advancement within the store team.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience in cash handling and customer service.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English; Spanish is a plus.
• Excellent mathematical skills and sanitation habits.
• Ability to pass cash handling training and obtain TABC certification.
• Previous experience in retail and sales is a must.
• Strong leadership and supervisory skills.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Microsoft Office and Excel spreadsheets.
• Visual merchandising skills.
• Ability to cope under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Identify items and corresponding costs, and tabulate bills quickly and accurately using cash register or calculator.
• Issue receipts or change due to customers accurately.
• Maintain cash register and its contents, ensuring accuracy at the end of each shift.
• Greet customers entering the store and provide information on products.
• Maintain a clean and orderly cash station area, stocking supplies as needed.
• Provide backup supervision and support for store operations as needed.
• Train staff according to company policies and procedures.
• Promote sales and assist with the general appearance of the store.
• Perform store opening and closing procedures according to company guidelines.
• Monitor and report on store performance and employee issues to the operations manager.
