About The Position

The Cash Services Tech position at the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta involves supporting the circulation of currency and coin inventory to meet the cash needs of financial institutions and the public. This role is critical for ensuring compliance with Treasury regulations and internal governance, and it requires technical expertise across various cash functions. Requirements

  • Technical expertise in cash functions such as Paying and Receiving, Coin, High Speed, and Admin.
  • Ability to perform inspections, testing, and monitoring of machine performance.
  • Experience in resolving equipment and software-related concerns.
  • Strong organizational skills to coordinate daily resource allocation and team setup.
  • Ability to perform supervisory functions and manage workflow effectively.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with financial and operational quality control and compliance audits.
  • Familiarity with video surveillance systems for monitoring operations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide operational support to Bank staff in the Currency Processing unit, including inspections, testing, and monitoring machine performance.
  • Support the implementation of software/hardware upgrades and resolve equipment and software-related concerns.
  • Facilitate various currency processing and destruction modes, oversee system resets, and assist in resolving complex issues and out-of-balance conditions.
  • Coordinate daily resource allocation and team setup in the Paying/Receiving/Coin units, resolving discrepancies and monitoring reports.
  • Perform supervisory functions within the inventory and transaction system, assigning work and performing technical and administrative functions as needed.
  • Provide administrative support to various units, including external stakeholders.
  • Support management in completing financial and operational quality control and compliance audits.
  • Monitor operational, equipment, and staff performance metrics, identifying production issues for escalation to senior team members.
  • Recommend processing plans in line with System-mandated parameters.
