Summary/Objective: Perform all duties related to the timely and accurate posting of cash, validation of deposits and posting detail, and resolution to outstanding bank reconciling items.
Requirements
- High school diploma (or GED)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Basic understanding of Excel and Word
Nice To Haves
- Strong background in long term care payer types preferred
- Basic knowledge of cash applications and procedures preferred
- Exposure to PCC system preferred
Responsibilities
- Pull EOBs from websites, billing systems, internal drives, etc. as needed to identify cash to be posted to appropriate payer.
- Knowledgeable on reading and understanding EOBs including identifying and adjusting copay amounts to proper payers.
- Create cash batch in Point Click Care (PCC)
- Posts payments (from all sources except Private Pay) to A/R system
- Cross-validates payments posted by counterpart (cash batch posting detail to record of receipt)
- Verifies all cash batches are posted to AR and balanced daily
- Other duties as assigned
