About The Position

The Cash Operations Shift Manager is responsible for overseeing the activities of cashiers during the scheduled shift, which runs from 11:30 PM to 8 AM, with days off on Sunday and Monday. This role includes managing transactions for game redemption tickets, cash advances, check cashing, and providing change to guests. The manager assists with issues related to cash redemption kiosks and ensures that internal control procedures are followed to safeguard company assets. Additionally, the manager enforces policies and procedures in accordance with state, federal, and Iowa Racing and Gaming Commission regulations, while also managing, directing, and developing staff to create an inspiring team environment with open communication.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous Casino Cashier or Main Bank experience preferred.
• 6+ months previous management or supervisory experience in casino, accounting, or banking industry required.
• Cash handling experience required.
• Strong knowledge of 10-key by touch is essential.
• Computer experience required (Excel, Power Point, Microsoft Outlook, and Word).
• Strong guest service skills.
• Ability to make independent decisions regarding guests and employees.
• Ability to respond quickly to spontaneous issues.
• Excellent attention to detail, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Ability to count money accurately.
• Strong math skills.
• Ability to communicate and interact verbally and in writing with people of diverse backgrounds.
• Ability to lift, carry, and/or push up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stoop, bend, reach, twist, grip objects, kneel, crawl, and have good finger movement.
• Ability to differentiate colors.
• Ability to rack and stack tokens/coins/chips.
• Ability to handle a fast-paced and stressful environment.
• Ability to tolerate secondary smoke and loud noise.
• Manual dexterity and coordination to operate office equipment.
