About The Position

The Cash Management Consultant position within the Cash Operations' Payments Team at MassMutual is responsible for managing daily payment functions, including wire transfers, ACH, and check processing. This role involves analyzing processes, implementing controls, resolving issues, and participating in project work, while also handling daily production responsibilities. The consultant will collaborate with various departments to ensure efficient payment processing and support the company's cash flow operations.

Requirements

• 1+ years of industry knowledge in Insurance, Treasury, or Payments.
• Associate Degree in Accounting or Finance or 2+ years of experience in banking or treasury services or finance.

Nice To Haves

• Insurance payment processing experience (wires, checks, or ACH).
• Familiarity with cash/bank management systems, Treasury Management Systems (TMS).
• Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) or Accredited ACH Professional (AAP) certification.
• SAP experience.

Responsibilities

• Initiate, review and monitor wire transfers for the enterprise, utilizing various online banking platforms.
• Process ACH NACHA payment files for all lines of business.
• Manage check printing requests, check deposits, and returned items for USD and foreign transactions.
• Assist and train internal clients regarding payment structures, approvals, and processes, including the company's payment system TCC.
• Research and communicate with banks and internal parties regarding wire transfer and ACH inquiries, including investigations and delays.
• Participate and/or lead problem-solving and process improvement projects.
• Adhere to governance and internal control procedures, maintaining a strong control environment.
