About The Position

At Tennessee Cancer Specialists, it is the privilege of our employees to walk with our patients and their families as they move along the journey of fighting cancer. As a Cash Applications Specialist, you will post medical payments and maintain billing records to guarantee effective and consistent revenue cycle processes. This position is fully in-person and does not offer remote or hybrid opportunities.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree in a business-related field preferred.
• Proficiency with computer systems, Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel), and interpreting EOBs.
• At least one year of prior experience in a similar position (medical records, payment posting, insurance verification) preferred.
• Experience with specialty billing is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Post all cash receipts and any appropriate adjustments to patient accounts.
• Ensure consistent and timely completion of job duties related to the revenue cycle process.
• Accurately post payments to and maintain patient medical records.
• Prepare bank deposits and ensure batch integrity.
• Provide exceptional customer service through respectful communication and thorough listening.
• Identify inconsistencies and communicate those upline.
• Assist with additional tasks as needed.
