This position could be located at the Firm's global operations center in Tampa or in the Dallas office. General Description: We are seeking a Cash Applications Assistant to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment and contribute to the growth and success of our firm. This position will provide financial, clerical and administrative services to ensure efficient, timely and accurate posting of accounts for Accounts Receivable Department.

Requirements

  • 0-2 years accounts receivable and general accounting experience.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Interpersonal skills.

  • Information management.
  • Problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient knowledge of accounting functions and computer applications.
  • Bachelor’s degree required but may be substituted for relevant legal work experience.

Responsibilities

  • Ability to proficiently handle all aspects of the accounts receivable process which includes: reviewing and processing payments and various types of client account adjustments, processing audits and refunds.
  • Ability to research and respond quickly and efficiently to client and office inquiries.
  • Posting of cash receipts following established procedures.
  • Process audit requests from clients.
  • Perform duties of filing, scanning, pulling backup and keying payments to invoices.
  • Investigate and resolve accounts receivable inquiries as well as monitor department email.
  • Communicating with internal and external customers via phone, email, mail or personally.
  • Willingness to work weekends and holidays as needed.
  • Special projects and additional duties as assigned.
