About The Position

The Cash and Credit Manager leads a team of cash and credit analysts responsible for managing customer accounts, resolving payment issues, and mitigating financial risk across the organization’s portfolios by evaluating credit worthiness. This role combines leadership, strategic oversight, and hands-on support to improve cash flow and reduce delinquency rates.

Requirements

  • 8 years of experience with preferred degree or 10 years of experience if degree is not in preferred field.
  • 8 years of experience in collections or accounts receivable, including 4+ years in a supervisory or team lead role.
  • Advanced level proficiency in Microsoft Excel (familiarity with v-look ups and pivot tables); experience with ERP or accounting software.
  • Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and drive team performance in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with collection strategies, monitoring portfolios, and coordinating payment plans.

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily activities of cash and credit analysts, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to company policies.
  • Oversee and continuously monitor all cash handling and credit control processes, implementing regular reconciliations, internal audits, and performance reviews to proactively identify and resolve discrepancies, mitigate financial risk, and ensure uninterrupted business operations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth payment processing, account reconciliations, and to resolve complex credit issues.
  • Train and mentor team members; conduct performance reviews and support professional development.
  • Oversee and assist with month-end reporting, reconciliations, and audit preparation.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and contribute to system enhancements.
  • Oversee credit evaluations, approvals, and adjustments for new and existing customers.
  • Verbal status updates to internal stakeholders, including General managers and senior leadership is required.
  • Develop and manage effective credit policy to minimize risk and improve account creation workflows, including regular credit reviews.
  • Provide oversight of customer master data and account updates, ensuring consistency and accuracy across systems.
